FINANCIAL STABILITY

United Way of the Brazos Valley fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in the Brazos Valley.

Every five years, United Way of the Brazos Valley conducts a Community Impact Study to identify the Brazos Valley’s most pressing needs in the areas of health, education and financial stability. United Way then uses the results of the Community Impact Study to develop Strategic Bold Goals to create meaningful and measurable impact in the Brazos Valley.

Health

United Way of the Brazos Valley annually invests $182,500 in health initiatives through Community Impact Grants. Nonprofit agencies currently receiving this funding include:

Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach – Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living – Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse – Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center – Health for All – NAMI Brazos Valley – Project Unity – The Prenatal Clinic – Scotty’s House – Sexual Assault Resource Center – Texas Ramp Project

Education

In addition to the Youth Leadership Cabinet and Early Literacy Programs, United Way of the Brazos Valley annually invests $37,500 in education initiatives through Community Impact Grants. Nonprofit agencies currently receiving this funding include:

Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach – Big Brothers Big Sisters – North Bryan Community Center – Project Unity – The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley

Financial Stability

United Way of the Brazos Valley annually invests $105,000 in financial stability initiatives through Community Impact Grants. Nonprofit agencies currently receiving this funding include:

Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas – American Red Cross Heart of Texas Chapter – Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living – Bryan/College Station Habitat for Humanity – Catholic Charities of Central Texas – Family Promise of Bryan/College Station – Grimes Health Resource Center – Madison Health Resource Center – OnRamp – Save Our Streets Ministries – Son-Shine Outreach Center – The Salvation Army – Twin City Mission
